Uig again

 

Time for some more bay views. The one above epitomises the scene in many parts of West Scotland – with plenty of space for each house.

Something had been spotted in amongst the fishing boats.

 

Yes, it was a seal.

What a little beauty!

 

The front flippers were hard at work keeping the head up. We could hear its occasional breaths and then it gently slid away for minutes at a time, under water.

 

At which point, we could still admire the gulls.

 

The ferry from Uist arrived

 

And made its way to the jetty

 

Hmm! The ferry appears to be called Hebrides! So not Snizort at all!

 

Uig has a monument – to Royalty.

 

It was time for a camp supper, which tonight was to be herby omelettes and a range of veg, followed by banana and rice pudding.
