We stopped at a viewpoint where some of the Quiraing was visible. There’s interesting geology of course with volcanic basalt protruding through the softer (but still rock hard) underlying limestone.
Here we see the road continuing out to the east coast of Skye. Lakes looked to have ben strewn randomly over the flatter lands.

The journey we would soon take to the east would see us take the near road from left to right, then round a hairpin bend to take the lower road from right to left before the gentle sweep took the winding road ever on.

A wellied walker looked very happy.

We spent time hoping the low cloud would clear to reveal the full extent of the higher Quiraing to the left. It remained like the picture below – almost there, but not quite.

It was impressive, nonetheless.
We moved to a lower stopping place and looked again. It was close by a remote cemetery.

There’s the car set in the impressive scenery.

The Quirang all but cleared of cloud.

A nice rounded hill. My eye is often drawn to them for I can feel that if I really wanted to I could get to the top of it. The craggy hills are impressive, but daunting.

Something clearly took the eye.

Perhaps it was the Quiraing where a couple of walkers posed.

A determined looking walker grits his teeth in the face of the wind.
We reached the end of the road east and found a petrol pump (not in use)
