Near Encalete there was a lovely stream tumbling over the rocky hillside.

The scenery suited me for it felt on a human scale although humans were a species not much in evidence. We saw and heard plenty of ravens though.

A little further on we found a fishing lodge.

No doubt it was a delightful place to sit and enjoy the scene – or to take a boat out for a gentle row. I don’t fish, but I’m sure it is a most relaxing place in which to partake of this contemplative occupation.

We moved on to Miavig, a little sea fishing quay where trawlers operate.

But also, there were fast pleasure boats.

Miavig was very pleasant. It was quite a way, by road, to the opposite slipway.

Fish farming went on.

The working boats – always the best for me.

A general view over the quayside at Miavig and across the water.
