Rhuban

We found our way through the little settlement of Rhuban to the beaches which were fringed with floral grass land.

The beach had silver sand (and seaweed too) but here it was in small bays – not the 20 mile long beach of the west coast of South Uist.

A few people were about, but there was loads of space.

There, with its line of scattered cottages, was the south coast of South Uist.

A paddler tried out the water.

A photographer enjoyed the beach flora.

The paddler had found a swimming costume and was wading in.

This section of the Atlantic Ocean was well sheltered by the rocks.

The swimmer was floating on the salty water.

Farewell from Rhuban.
